WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Clarity your team can work with.

01

A baseline you can check

Spend by service and project, the observation period, available activity and data limitations. We distinguish consumption, credits and commitments rather than treating them as savings.

02

BigQuery analysis with context

Query patterns, storage and configuration relevant to your billing model. The analysis adapts to on-demand pricing, capacity or a mixed model.

03

A clear order for action

Up to five recommendations with evidence, estimated effort, risk, dependencies and a measurement approach. Savings estimates are clearly identified as estimates.

Report + recorded walkthrough + optional review call (up to 60 minutes). One clarification round within seven days of delivery.

THE SCOPE, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

A bounded review. A clear price.

For teams already using BigQuery who need to understand their data-platform spend. We check the available data, fit and delivery dates before you pay.

For a small bill or a new warehouse, a paid cost diagnostic may not be the sensible first step. Tell me the context and we’ll establish that first.

Read the full scope & conditions
  • One billing account and up to three Google Cloud projects.
  • An overview of data-platform spend and an in-depth BigQuery analysis.
  • One production environment and one logical region, agreed before starting.
  • Between 30 and 90 days of existing data, subject to availability.
  • Up to 20 query families and five prioritised recommendations.
  • A report, explanatory video, optional review of up to 60 minutes and one clarification round within seven days of delivery.
Separate scope required

Production changes, building a data warehouse, implementing recommendations, on-call support and an in-depth audit of every Google Cloud service are excluded. Implementation requires a separate scope and authorisation.

INSIDE A RECOMMENDATION

Evidence first. Then a decision.

Illustrative examples with synthetic data. These are not client results or achieved savings.

01 / QueriesIllustrative

Observation

One query family accounts for a large share of processed bytes.

Next decision

Review partition filters and column selection. Compare bytes and duration before and after.

A real finding also records the source, period, assumptions, implementation risk and validation owner.

02 / CapacityIllustrative

Observation

Activity peaks and contracted costs cannot be compared directly.

Next decision

Separate utilisation, reservations and commitments. Check contractual constraints before estimating savings.

A real finding also records the source, period, assumptions, implementation risk and validation owner.

03 / StorageIllustrative

Observation

Some derived tables have no named owner or retention policy.

Next decision

Identify dependencies and agree retention with the owner. Do not delete data during the diagnostic.

A real finding also records the source, period, assumptions, implementation risk and validation owner.

BigQuery spend or a wider platform problem?

I want to understand the bill

The cost diagnostic has defined boundaries and outputs, at €1,350 plus applicable taxes. Fit is checked first.

I need to review a workflow or decision

For failures, SQL, Composer/Airflow or architecture, we agree a review or intervention around the problem. The cost diagnostic is not a prerequisite or the price of that work.

HOW IT WORKS

A clear first step. Room to build trust.

Start by email. Agree the work. Keep decisions and documentation in your hands.

  1. 01

    Describe the problem

Share the context in writing. The initial fit check by email is free; a technical conversation can be arranged when useful.

  2. 02

    Agree a first engagement

Get scope, deliverables, access, dates, acceptance criteria and the total price. Accept the proposal and pay online through a private link.

  3. 03

    Check the improvement

Receive documentation of the work and how to validate it. Continue with planned support if useful. Production changes require authorisation, tests and rollback.

Your environment. Agreed access.

Use agreed metadata exports or limited read-only access inside your environment. Permissions, data handling, retention and access removal are agreed before work starts.

Cloud Billing exports do not always include data from before activation. BigQuery JOBS history has its own retention limits and permissions. We check what is available before contracting; we do not promise to reconstruct missing history.

Before you start

Is this suitable for every Google Cloud bill?

This is for teams already using BigQuery with meaningful data-platform spend. As a qualification guide, a review may be useful around €3,000–€20,000 per month. This is not a guarantee of return. We review cases outside that range before charging.

Do I need a sales call?

You can request and contract the diagnostic through the form and email. We ask for clarification where needed. The results review meeting is optional and included.

What access do you need?

We prefer agreed minimal metadata and exports, without business records. We can also work within your environment with limited read-only permissions. Never send passwords, service-account keys or confidential data through this form.

How much will I save?

We cannot know before reviewing the evidence. Improvements may exist, require investment or prove uneconomic. The deliverable is a traceable diagnostic; we do not guarantee a savings percentage.

When does the work start?

Before payment, we agree the start date and delivery window in writing, considering availability and required data. Submitting the form does not reserve a date.

What if it is not a fit?

We tell you before payment. If history is missing or the scope is larger, we propose a different written scope or close the request without contracting.

LET’S START WITH THE CONTEXT

Is the diagnostic a good fit?

Share what you know about the platform. I’ll review the fit and follow up by email. If the data or scope does not fit, we’ll clarify that before payment.

  • No mandatory sales call
  • No credentials needed to inquire
  • No payment before an agreed scope
